Question 20 |
South – West Raman walks 25 metres in north. He turns right and walks 72 metres to reach point. he again turns right and walks 16 metres. He finally turns left and walks 8 metres to reach point B. How far is point B from point A and in which direction is starting point from point B?
A
| |
B | |
C | |
D |
Question 20 Explanation:
Raman starts walking 25metres north and then turns right and moves 72 metres and reaches point A. After that again he turns right and moves 16metres.Finally, he turns left and stops.
now ,after drawing the direction inorder to find the distance between A and B we got two side values of an isosceles triangle.
i.e; 8 and 16
now by using pythagoras theorem we write as
square root of 8*8+16*16=square of 320, which is in north east direction from starting point to B.
