Fixed charge = ‘x’ Say
Variable charge = Rs y per km
⇒ x + 16y = 156 → (1)
x + 24y = 204 → (2)
By solving (1) & (2),
x = 60, y = 6
Variable charge = Rs y per km
⇒ x + 16y = 156 → (1)
x + 24y = 204 → (2)
By solving (1) & (2),
x = 60, y = 6
⇒ Cost for travelling distance of 30 km = 60 + 3y
= 60 + 3(6)
= Rs 240
